The Leinster C/C C/ships, Novice, Masters and Juvenile Even Ages were held in Dunboyne today, 27th. Oct. Conditions were very tough, wind, rain and soft underfoot. Noelle Thorpe, defending the O/50 title she won last year, finished in an excellent 2nd place and silver medal position. Charlotte Stevens finished in a very creditable 4th position, just pipped for the bronze medal. Not to be outdone Dolores Gilliland continued her rich vein of form with a very impressive performance, by taking the silver medal in the 0/55 section. Dolores was only seconds behind Nuala Reilly, one of the top O/55s in the country. In the mens Novice race Chris Morgan put in another fine run to finish 34th in a time of 22.28 for the 6k. A great run from Chris in his first year of competitive running. Shauna Galligan put in a very brave performance in the girls under 14 event, no medal but she can be very proud of her great effort.
