In Saturday's Marley Parkrun Dolores Gilliland set a new Pb of 23.40 for 5k, taking almost half a minute of her previous best. Well done Dolores.
On Sunday, 20th Oct, the Run With Catherina Cavan 5k was held. It was the first running of this event and it attracted a field in excess of 700. Unfortunately the weather was unkind, with heavy rain before and during the race. The mens race was won by Paddy Hamilton, Annadale AC, in 15.09, with Robbie Matthews, Dunshaughlin AC, 2nd in 15.40. The womens race was won by Catherina McKiernan in 17.20, with Pauline Curley in 2nd place in 17.48. Richard Kavanagh, running his first race in almost 7 months, finished in 20.03, and 2nd O/55.
