Wicklow Star Awards

Last Friday night the annual Wicklow Star Awards ceremony was held in Wioklow town, hosted by Inbhear Dee A.C.. Two of our athletes won awards. Grainne O'Sullivan won the U16 -U19 girls award for her tremendous achievements in 2019. Grainne has won Leinster and National medals throughout the year in the Long Jump and 200m.  Grainne won Leinster Gold and National silver at the schools combined events which led her to be chosen for the schools international combined events competition in Glasgow where she represented Ireland. This made her the obvious and very deserved choice for this award. Well done Grainne!

James Foot also got a Special Recognition Award for his achievements in 2019 in the 600m on the track but in particular for his cross country season where he won Leinster Gold in both the u12 and the u13 races and also gold in the u12 national event. He also placed 2nd nationally in the boys u13 race. Well done James!
